About Us
Our Story
Our story began when a French traveler living in Australia met an Indonesian local during a trip to Bali. Connected by a shared vision, they dreamed of creating a tourism experience that embraced and uplifted the culture it thrived within, rather than exploiting or diminishing it. They sought to counter the negative effects of mainstream tourism in Bali—overdevelopment, environmental degradation, and the erosion of local traditions—by building a retreat rooted in respect and sustainability. Together, they created a place where visitors could enjoy the beauty of Bali while contributing to the community, preserving its rich cultural heritage, and departing with a sense of connection and belonging.

Our Approach
At the heart of our business is a commitment to creating meaningful change through sustainable and ethical tourism. We strive to give back to the community that inspires us by dedicating a portion of our profits to local schools, helping them invest in teaching English to children and expanding their educational opportunities. Looking ahead, we aim to offer culturally enriching tours and workshops, providing guests with a deeper understanding of Bali’s traditions while supporting local artisans and educators. Through these efforts, we hope to preserve the island’s cultural heritage, empower its communities, and create a tourism model that benefits everyone involved.
